Alaska provides that the scope of practice for a physician does include prescribing or administering of pharmaceuticals, including controlled substances (subject to DEA requirements). However, a physician may not represent themselves as a pharmacist or as having a pharmacy on site, and must comply with applicable professional and ethical standards, as well as prescription counseling.
Required Documentation:
