Overview/Guidelines:
Dispensing physicians are not required to obtain additional licenses in order to dispense medication at the point of care. A physician who is authorized to prescribe medications in the state is allowed to dispense those medications during the normal course of practicing medicine as long has he complies with state and federal law.
