Idaho

Physician Dispensing Allowed:

Yes

Overview/Guidelines:

Physician dispensing in Idaho is regulated by the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy. The only requirement is that the physician fill out a prescriber drug outlet registration application. Registration gives a physician who is authorized to prescribe medications in the state the ability to dispense those medications during the normal course of practicing medicine as long as they comply with all state and federal laws regarding prescription drugs.

Required Documentation:

A dispensing registration and permit is required depending on the physician’s and patient’s individual need to dispense.
